Facilities

The Pinehurst Rest home is staffed 24 hour hours a day, 7 days and nights per week. All rooms are fitted with an electronic call system operating 24 hours a day. We have an alarmed door system for added security and the entire home is centrally heated and double glazed throughout. We also have a stair lift if residents need assistance managing stairs.

There are 9 large, well-appointed single rooms, many with large bay windows, situated at ground and first floor levels. There is also a large well double room with bay windows. For our long term residents we encourage personal items of furniture to be brought in and a personal telephone line can be arranged if required.

There is a television lounge in which guests can enjoy programmes on our modern flat screen televisions with free view, or listen to music from our music library which offers a wide selection of music from every decade. If preferred residents can read the newspaper or play games, or just enjoy some peace and quiet in our separate quiet lounge.

To the rear of the home the secure garden contains a completely renervated patio area with surrounding shrubs and an area for sitting which gets plenty of sun in the summer.

We offer a varied “home cooked” menu and have regular cooks that know the residents very well who work closely with the care staff to tailor the residents needs accordingly. Regular baking of cakes and desserts complement the ‘home from home’ atmosphere we work hard to achieve.
